One theory about the name is that some of the original settlers migrated from the Albany, New York, area. In 1856, New Albany was incorporated with a population of 50. As late as 1980, the census only listed a little over 400 residents in the village. Now over 10,000 residents call New Albany home. Notable companies headquartered in New Albany include Abercrombie & Fitch, while other well known companies such as Facebook and Google have Data Centers here. Space and Style in Gahanna
This picture shows a Kitchen Remodel from your New Albany neighbors in Gahanna. This kitchen shows how you can still have excellent use of space, even with a smaller galley layout. We were able to integrate storage between the fridge and range while allowing for a large prep area on the sink side with durable quartz countertops.
two-Tone Island and Farmhouse Charm
The project that follows is another gorgeous New Albany kitchen remodel from neighboring Galena. It is highlighted with a large two tone island ready for serving platters while the countertops on the fridge wall provide additional space for loading and unloading the double oven . A simple farmhouse sink nicely ties in the modern farmhouse lighting and this layout is perfect for all the natural light coming through the great room wall and bay window bump out.
Westerville Remodels
These next two New Albany Remodeling projects are from neighboring Westerville. The first shows what your home can look like if you expand an opening to allow line of site from the kitchen through to the living room.
The second shows how a first floor laundry, behind the range wall, is still easily accessible from this newly remodeled simple galley kitchen with large pantry cabinetry built in above and beside the refrigerator.
Galena Remodel
This last remodel project is from New Albany neighboring Galena. This highlights the use of a small butler pantry barely visible beyond the doorway and into the formal dining room. Connecting these areas with matching tile backsplash shows how homes that utilize the formal spaces from the past are often enhanced with modern updates.
